Canadian Experience Class
Who qualifies for the Canadian Experience Class, how Canadian work experience is counted, the language minimums that apply, and how CEC draws compare with general Express Entry rounds.
The Canadian Experience Class is an Express Entry program for people who already have skilled work experience in Canada. Applicants generally need at least one year of qualifying Canadian skilled experience gained in the three years before applying, plus language results meeting the minimum for their occupation's TEER category. No proof of settlement funds is required for CEC.

Who may qualify?
- Post-graduation work permit holders with Canadian skilled experience
- Employer-specific or open work permit holders in TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 occupations
- Former temporary workers who have since left Canada but applied within the experience window
- Candidates who also meet FSW criteria and want the stronger of the two options
