A designated learning institution (DLI) is a school approved by a provincial or territorial government to host international students under a study permit. Not every DLI or program leads to Post-Graduation Work Permit eligibility, so it is worth verifying both the DLI number and the program's PGWP status before applying. Provincial attestation letters are now part of the study permit process for many applicants.
